Notes: This deep garnet colored wine offers aromas of dried cherry, black raspberry and smoked sausage. It has an interesting balance of fruity and savory characteristics among raspberry, saddle leather and spicy tobacco flavors.
Pairing: Amphora Red Erzetič recommend to beef steak in pepper sauce to grilled meat or wine sauce, the lamb and goat, venison, roast duck or guinea fowl, the mature hard cheese to dishes with tomato-based sauces and garlic.
Vineyard & Vinification: The wines mature in barrique barrels. The barrels are of various sizes and are also distinguished by manufacturers – originating from Slovenia, Croatia and France. Wines are nurtured in amphorae and later mature in the barrique barrels for up to 24 months.
